Courtesy alert for blower recall for fire hazard

Keep your eyes open. The Consumer Products Safety Commission has issued a recall for blowers manufactured by Interex due to a potential fire hazard. Recalled blowers include those sold by B-Air, BlueDri, BlueDri Pro, and Soleaire. These blowers will most commonly be found in the water restoration industry. If the outlet on the affected blower becomes overloaded or short-circuited, it could overheat, posing a fire hazard.

GreenTech Heat does not manufacture or sell any blowers or fans affected by this safety recall.

While some of the affected blowers appear similar to the GreenTech Heat AM4000, none of our air movers are affected by the issue where the utility outlets on the side of the blowers are not protected by a circuit breaker. The GreenTech Heat AM4000 does not provide a second power outlet to eliminate the possibility of excessive power draw, tripping jobsite breakers, and overheating. We have designed our equipment to safely and reliably run in the temperatures found in heat treatments.

We present this notice in the interest of everyone’s safety. Many companies mix, match, and mingle equipment from a number of vendors, and may unknowingly have some of these blowers in their equipment mix. Additional information can be found at the CPSC website.
