ePro 1400 vs the Competition: Lighter, faster, more powerful

Job Performance: It’s all about the heater weight
It takes energy to move stuff. The more something weighs, the more energy it takes to move it. Read a review of any modern performance car, and the trend is in “adding” lightness. Car designers turn to exotic materials to increase performance. When comparing cars or bed bug heaters, added lightness is a differentiator worthy of consideration.
The GreenTech Heat ePro 1400 is engineered to maximize thermal performance while minimizing size, bulk, and weight.
Designed to Significantly Reduce Setup, Treatment, and Takedown Times
I spoke with one of our clients whose team has used both our ePro electric bed bug heaters and the competition’s 130-pound omnidirectional heaters. He told me the competition’s heaters required more time and energy to move around and set up—they’re almost 3x as heavy and twice as large—and only produce half the thermal output of the ePro 1400.
On top of that, each heater requires one of their 32-pound fans to match the convected heat performance of the ePro 1400. According to the competitor’s website, two of their generator-powered heaters and five fans are required to effectively treat “up to 700 square feet of infested space depending on the structure of the building”. The more-flexible ePro 1400 can be run from electric stove and electric dryer outlets or powered by a generator and treats up to 1400 square feet in 8 hours.
Let me spell this out: To achieve a comparable heating ability, their equipment weighs 5x times as much as our ePro 1400 and AM4000 fan, costs significantly more, and their equipment needs more trips and fuss to set up.
Back to our client’s story: On the job site, setup took longer. Their heater’s omnidirectional airflow needed more time to reach lethal temperatures throughout the treatment area. Takedown required more time. The job just took longer and required more equipment.
More equipment to carry into the job site and back out to the truck at the end of the day.
And at the end of a long and tiring day, one of his crew gouged the wall beside a stairway that required a small drywall patch, retexturing, and painting. The heavier, lower-performing equipment further ate into the job profits and overall staff happiness.
The ePro 1400 has all the right stuff for killing bed bugs with heat. It’s lighter and smaller. It’s more powerful. It produces more BTUs with less manpower. The ePro 1400 costs less.
The ePro 1400 electric bed bug heater beats the competition on all accounts:
- Size.
- Weight.
- Convenience.
- BTUs.
- Airflow.
- Treatable area.
- Treatment times.
- Price.
The competition’s equipment simply cannot outperform the GreenTech Advantage.
What People Say
Big differences when comparing GreenTech’s electric trailer with the competitor. The build quality is much better: non-slip flooring, soundproofing, electrical, lighting, shelving. No RUST. You get direct contact with the owner and his team. One man can operate the GreenTech Heat system. Push more BTUs faster, quicker treatments, and you can control the temperature easier. With the the trailer I own from the competitor you need 2 people working. That trailer is brand new and we dealt with rust so bad and a leaking roof. Trying to get warranty service from the competition was very hard.
