Treating area rugs in a U-Haul truck
What is the cost of a single bed bug?
Hal Payne of 120 Pest in Woodstock, Georgia shares with us he was treating area rugs for a new commercial client. She was getting ready to toss these because of one live bed bug seen on them while they were in temporary storage.

Hal hung the rugs on 2x4 wood racks in a U-Haul truck, arranged front to back. He used a Titan 800 and fans in the front and back of the truck to move the air around. He used extra ducting going towards the front of the truck. My target temp is also 150°F to help counteract cold spots. With the rain and cooler temp it took a little over an hour to get to temp.

If each of the nine large area rugs, approximately 16' long, cost $500 each, a single bed bug would have cost his client $4,500 for the set.
A mattress placed outside overnight prior to treatment
Bill Hillmeyer and Total Shield Pest Control in York, Pennsylvania sent us a picture of a bed bug on a mattress set out the night before a treatment.

Bill says this looks like an assassin bug feasting on a bed bug. There were several birds picking off some bed bugs as well.
Heat treating a boat for bed bugs
Patrick Costa and Wela Pest Control in Oahu, Hawaii used his Titan 800 to treat a boat for bed bugs.
